Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and all the more so for the athletic guests hiking their way around the island or the cycling enthusiasts about to discover the hilly parts of Bornholm.
As part of the art of hospitality, I want my guests to have the best possible start to the day. Breakfast is served at the table, the old-fashioned way, at the guests’ preferred time. This can be as early as 6am when needing to catch the first ferry, but it can also be a more leisurely affair, later in the morning, to cap a good night of rest before moving into the busyness of the new day.
I like wholesome and simple foods and I don’t serve anything that I would not eat myself. I mainly use locally sourced organic products and have banned all ultra processed food.
I regularly join the breakfast table to enjoy this special time of the day, when we can meet each other, afresh, delighting in the sheer presence of who we are in the moment, gifts and talents, foibles and eccentricities all welcome.
I cater for special dietary requests (vegan, gluten free, lactose free). Since everything is served fresh, it is good to know in advance if people have special needs.
Breakfast is included in the price of the night.
