The Pine Tree Room

The Clear-Sightedness of the Pine Tree

With its slim silhouette stretching up into the skies the Pine Tree invites us to climb its heights and experience a bird’s eye view of the landscape rolling at our feet. From a higher altitude we amplify the horizon and  enjoy a wider perspective where we see, sometimes for the first time, reality as it is. We can then look down compassionately at the small worries and concerns which keep our strategic mind running around in circles caught in the tunnel vision of anxiety and disparaging thoughts. The Pine Tree encourages us to grow tall and in stature, to radiate our gifts and share our wisdom, our love and our conscious grace.

Step into the Pine Tree room, close your eyes and take a deep breath. Imagine the invigorating scent of a pine forest infilling and enfolding you. Then, receive the gifts of humility and courage that enable you to follow the unique path designed for you. Sit down, be still, gaze out at the fields and leisurely contemplate all the options suddenly manifesting on the horizon. At ease in the stillness of your aloneness, chose from a place of discernment rather than fear. Chose the one thing or the one person who truly brings you alive.

The Pine Tree room is designed with great care and simplicity for one person seeking guidance for the next steps in life in the solace of quietness and stillness. The room is 13m2 and has a single bed (size 90 x 200cm) with a traditional Nordic duvet and two feather pillows. The room has a desk and chair with a desk lamp, a spacious wardrobe with shelves and hangers, a small bookshelf, a comfortable chair, a coffee table, a Moroccan mirror, a wall coat rack and a bedside drawer. The ceiling and bed lamp have 3 levels of brightness and the bed lamp also has a USB port. There is a kettle and a selection of herbal teas to help settle into the spaciousness of one’s company.

A bay window opens directly on to the terrace with views over the garden and surrounding fields. There is an outdoor table and chair (cushions in the wardrobe) and an outdoor lamp to enjoy quiet time in the evening.

The bathroom is not en suite but in a separate area. Each guest is allocated his or her private bathroom which includes a shower, a washbasin and a toilet. Towels are provided and, if needed, there are a few basic ecofriendly toiletries.

There is free high quality internet coverage in the guest lodge. There are no rooters in the rooms and the WIFI cannot be switched off.

As per Danish law the guest lodge is a no smoking space. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas, at some distance from the house. Guests are expected to deal with their cigarette buts and dispose of them correctly in the general waste.
