Voicing from the Heart

The Mysticism of Inditing

The Power of Inditing

Inditing is an biblical expression which means to describe in literary or formal expression, in other words, to compose and to put down in writing. Inditing is the quintessence of voicing from the heart.

The inditing heart weeps, rages, criticises, bestows blessings and curses as it reveals the unpleasant truths we need to hear in order to further wake up and break through all the individual and cultural illusions maintaining us in a trance-like lethargy and complacency. The inditing heart offers itself to storytelling, singing and conveying the countless dramas that season and flavour the human experience. It follows one unique and sole purpose: the conversion of the heart, the restoration of the flow of life and, in so doing, the healing of world and humanity.

Inditing gives form to a genre of storytelling where we string together facts and events and allow the life-giving purpose woven into the story to reveal itself. It beckons us to allow the deeper meaning in words to breathe into us, to animate us, to ignite us. We are to be infilled, instilled, indwelled, infused, imbued, all verbs with the prefix -in, as is the case with inditing, the use of the prefix –in indicating that something transformative is about to occur within.

We indite by combining different voices carried through words, sounds, colours, textures and all other forms of artistic expression known to us. The larger invitation is to return to the basics, the essence of what is in origin. We tap into source-based and heart-centred frequencies, tune into their vibrational signature, and become instruments of these higher-vibrational expressions of life.

Inditing is beneficial for learning to move in and out, back and forth, and across the liminal spaces we encounter on our odyssey with wholeness. It not only takes us to our spiritual edges, the edge on the inside, the rim between what we think is us and what is not us, the edge of knowing and not knowing, the places where we need to be stretched, and where everything converges, it also supports us in standing and staying, in silence and stillness, in the prophetic position. This is the only place – and the only way – we learn to live precariously with paradoxical perspectives. We hold them tightly in our heart, whilst witnessing the necessary creative tension being stretched to the point of rupture, until the energy summoned in the catalytic experience propels us further along the path of unitive consciousness towards wholeness and oneness.

Twelve Workshops for Cherishing our Inditing Heart

Introducing the mystical dimensions of inditing, I host a two-hour online workshop, from 17.00 to 19.00 (CET), once a month – usually the third Saturday of the month.

The purpose of the workshops is threefold:

  1. Uncover the art form which enables us to bring the exquisite invisible into a precious and cherished visible form
  2. Develop our capacities for voicing the truths that dwell in our heart
  3. Initiate an experience of inhabiting and dwelling in the imaginal realm so as to unleash the powerful creativity populating our heart

There are three parts to the workshops.

  1. The first is a sequence of words and music taking us on a transformative voyage of discovery
  2. The second is a guided practice of conscious writing in preparation of composing a poem
  3. The third is a time of sharing, not about what might have been produced – and is usually largely work in progress – rather a sharing around the experience of being with others in a creative container dedicated to written language

I like working with different languages and invite participants to work in their native language, the language of the heart, the language we inhabit and dwell in. We also explore the frequencies of different languages, like different musical instruments, to sense and savour where there is more resonance, more bittersweet desire, deeper yearning, in other words where love expresses itself with fierce intensity and passion.

You can find out more about the themes of the different workshops by following the links in the coloured boxes in the programme below.
